Youth Programs.
After identifying the opportunity to work with local youth in the communities we have served, we connected with one of the basketball legends from Columbus County. Shannon McCallum is an international basketball star with various accolades from her tenure at the high school, collegiate, professional and coach. In this instance, Shannon is dedicated to serve as our Director, (Basketball) Player Development & Strategy. The “village-like” effort was a success with a host of former athletes and coaches from multi-generations. ALL dedicated to the betterment of our youth!
04.25.2025 is the last day to register for the Spring (Outdoor) Basketball Tournament registration.

Each year, we look to host a Spring and Fall camp. Our initial camp was a total of eight Saturday sessions; however, in future we will adopt a structure of two sessions for three weeks. The spring session will be hosted in March/April and the Fall session will be hosted October/November.

By June 2025, we will begin working toward securing a facility use agreement to begin offering group and individual training sessions (at the specified location) on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Back 2 Blacktop will plan to establish/launch AAU basketball team(s) no later than Spring 2026.
Until then, we are open to donate/sponsor and/or partner on fundraising for local AAU teams within Columbus County.
Continued participation in our group and individual sessions will better prepare youth interested to play in Spring 2026.

After bringing together a “legendary, DREAM TEAM” of community coaches who were willing to take a “village-like” approach to reboud our youth, we were able to identify yet another gap in the community.
Any guess? YES! The adult population was in need of athlethic opportunities to promote and encourage teamwork with local community members.
And, now we have “birthed” an official League of Legends, which will also use genereated funds to community reinvestment efforts.
